Our last encounter at J'migan bridge ended in a draw. This one went differently with an emphatic victory for the forces of the Imperium in a 6,000 point Kill Point game. This was the first time that we had played kill points with two large armies so the scene was set for utter carnage.
There were two cinematic sequences that would do any action movie proud. The first was watching 24 Ravenwing bikes follow the banner of devastation into the Eldar gun line and wreak initial havoc. The second was watching a single ninja-like Wyche, dance in hand to hand combat with the lumbering Imperial Knight. The Knight finally stomped the Wyche, but not before she managed to attach one final sticky Haywire grenade...her dying vision would have been of her final grenade creating a catastrophic explosion from the Knight and leaving a stadium-sized hole in the surrounding area. Very Epic.
All in all, this was a great game and it proved that even when you play the same factions on the same board, the feel and experience of the games can change tremendously.
