Imperial Knight No.2
September 27th will see the largest battle ever fought between myself and Hoard of Hordes; 10,000 points each side to be precise.
Needless to say, both sides, Imperial and Xenos, have embarked on a bit of an arms race over the last few months to build up their might in anticipation of Apocalyptic battle.
The Dark Angels have historically been a little light in anti armour so they have enlisted the support of the Imperial Knights to help out. Needless to say, House Hawkshroud has responded and provided a second knight to support the Dark Angels in September.
This is a Knight Paladin, armed with the devastating Rapid Fire Battle Cannon. As a House Hawkshroud knight, this model keeps the yellow and black colour scheme, but in order to make him a little different, I've made a first attempt at drawing on chequered shoulder pad.
Drawing cheques is a little tricky and requires a fair amount of tweaking to get right. I started with painting the base colour in yellow and then used a pencil to mark out the squares. I then used a black artist pen to cloud each square in and then painted over each black square in Abbadon Black to make sure it texture of the black on the shoulder pad was the same texture as the rest of the model.
All other painting techniques were the same as on my previous knight.
Over the net few weeks, both Hoard of Hordes and I will be uploading shots of our 10,000 point armies...be sure to be on the look out. We will also post a suitably epic bat rep after our 2 day battle.
